Whether we are trying to relax or trying to work, always set in an area known as a room. For several years, many people have barely noticed how the rooms are designed and how it can actually affect both mood and productivity. Today, many architects are beginning to take note of this fact. So many are trying to find ways how they can come up with designs that can affect the work efficiency in the workplace or create a resting place when you get home from work.
Room Color can set the mood
Many studies have shown that in fact the way the room color has much to do with a person can feel. There are certain colors that can even affect a person really general welfare. In general, the hues of blues and greens evoke a sense of calm and relaxation in any room. These colors promote a sense of warmth and togetherness. Blues are known to lower blood pressure and heart rate, it can be very relaxing.
Yellows are known to carry out a sense of joy in a room. Therefore, these colors tend to be useful in the kitchen and dining room, and invites a sense of energy around.
Red can be very stimulating. If you need a bit of adrenaline in the area, then red is the way forward.
Lighting
Normally people do not take much notice of lighting a room. However, lighting may well affect the mood of the person and the energy level. Usually people try to avoid what type of lighting we have in the workplace to their homes. A relaxed atmosphere is recommended to use soft lighting, while the bright lights stimulate cognition.
Ceiling Height
One can not imagine that even the ceiling height can actually affect the mood, especially when it comes to work. Best placed ceilings people feel less restricted, favoring a more creative type of thought. Ceilings misplaced, however, do exactly the opposite. They evoke a sense of confinement, which favors a more detailed analysis and observation.
Rooms and views
Although one might think that having a window with a view can stimulate the mind of an individual to travel, a study has shown that students who stay in rooms with views of nature did better in terms of studies. Having a vision of nature as compared to urban areas, encouraging a natural sense of care in an individual. Even if the person has a tendency to look out the window, looking at different scenarios encourages one to think more than you think.
Due to the development of different scientific techniques of neuroscience, architects are now able to understand how their designs on the human emotions. Therefore, the architects are motivated to get into the smallest details in order to improve the design of the rooms that were not previously considered to have an effect on individuals. Hopefully the future will bring perspectives that can be put into practice.
